The challenge

Where things stood

Meridian ran onboarding checklists, time-off requests, and performance reviews across a shared spreadsheet and email threads, so approvals routinely got lost and HR couldn't answer a basic headcount question without manually compiling it.

The approach

How we got there

01

Structured onboarding workflows

Replaced the onboarding spreadsheet with role-based checklists that automatically assign tasks to IT, facilities, and the new hire's manager.

02

Time-off and approval routing

Built time-off requests that route to the correct approver automatically based on team structure, with balances calculated instead of tracked by hand.

03

Performance review cycles

Built structured review cycles with manager and self-assessment forms, replacing a process that used to run entirely over email threads.
